we created The Link because making friends as an adult is weirdly hard.
You move to a new city, or your friends move away, or everyone gets busy in the way people do in their twenties and thirties. Suddenly the thing that used to happen automatically — meeting people you actually click with — takes effort.
The awkward part is that nobody wants to say “do you want to be friends?” out loud. So we built the excuse instead.
The Link is a social club. We run fun things, and the fun things give you an easy reason to meet other people.
Some months that’s a book club. Some months it’s making candles that smell like an espresso martini, or a salsa class where everyone is equally bad for the first hour. The activity changes on purpose. The people are the point.
We started in Rotterdam, and we’re growing into the Netherlands’ newest social club — Amsterdam and Utrecht are already asking when we’re coming.

What to expect
coming alone is the normal way to do this.
Small enough to talk
Most events cap somewhere between 12 and 24 people. Big enough for a room, small enough that you actually meet everyone.
Nobody arrives knowing anyone
Most people show up solo the first time. That's how we make new connections.
A different thing every time
Books one week, candles the next, salsa after that. The activity is just the excuse.
No pressure to become a regular
Come to one thing. See how you feel. There's no streak to keep up and nobody counts.
And then it keeps going
come five times and the club opens up.
Every event you attend adds a Link Stamp to your card. At five, your next eligible event is free and you become a Community Member — which unlocks the members-only events we don’t put on the public calendar.
